GREECE LOST 50
BILLION EUROS OF
INVESTMENTS DURING
THE CRISIS
During the several years of cri-
sis Greece lost infrastructural
investments in an amount of
50 billion Euros, according to
the results from the research
quoted by the Greek newspa-
per “Imerisia”. The data from
the research shows that in the
period of the crisis in Greece,
very few investments in in-
frastructure were realized. In
2006 they comprised of 3.7 per-
cent of the GDP of the country,
and in 2015 they were only 1.1
percent, while the losses at an
annual level were an amount
of 5.7 billion Euros. The num-
ber of planned and unrealized
infrastructural projects in the
years of the crisis increased sig- all 5.050 employees. “Hestil” is
nificantly, and their value will
reach 20.7 billion Euros by 2022.
Of 78 projects in total, which
are about to be realized in the
following six years, 39 refer to
roads, ports and airports, 15 are
related to the energy sector, 12
refer to the rail network and 12
to water supply and wastewater
management. Most of the on-
going infrastructural projects
have decelerated because of
their delayed financing and in-
vestments.

BOUGHT THE
SERBIAN IRON
FACTORY SMEDEREVO
The sales agreement was signed
by the Serbian Minister of Econ-
omy, Zeljko Sertic, and the Presi-
dent of “Hestil”, Yu Yong. The
signing of the agreement was
also attended by the Serbian
Prime Minister Aleksandar Vu-
cic, representatives of the diplo-
matic corps and many reputable
persons from Serbia’s public
sector. “Hestil” was the only
one that provided a bid for pur-
chase of “Zelezara’s” property
for a price of 46 million Euros.
The future owner in “Zelezara”
plans to invest 300 million Eu-
ros in this factory, in order to
reach a maximum production
of 2.1 million tons and to retain
the largest steel manufacturer
in China with an annual produc-
tion capacity of 50 million tons
and employs more than 120.000
workers worldwide. The group
possesses 37 high furnaces, 23 of
which have a capacity of more
than 1.000 square meters and
in 2015 it produced 47.8 millions
of tons of steel. After the sale of a capacity of 100 billion dollars.
“Zelezara”, the Government of
Serbia will have to deliver evi-
dence to the European Commis-
sion evidence that Serbia does
not export Chinese steel.

LOANS FROM THE
NEW DEVELOPMENT
BANK BRIX
The new development bank
BRIX approved the first package
of loans, with a value of 811
million dollars, for four projects
in Brazil, China, in the South-
African Republic and in India.
The projects in these countries
refer to the development of
renewable energy sources. The
decision for an approval of the
first package of loans which will
be paid in tranches, was adopted
by the Board of the governor of
the New Development Bank on
the margins of the spring session
of the International Monetary
Fund and the World Bank in
Washington, as it was announced
by the Russian agency RIA News.
The bank decided to approve
a loan of 300 million dollars to
Brazil, a loan of 81 million dollars
to China, 250 million dollars to
India, and 180 million dollars
to the South-African Republic.
The new development bank was
established by Brazil, Russia,
India, China and the South-
African Republic in July 2015 with
The goal of this bank, with a seat
in Shanghai, is to finance the
infrastructural projects in the
developing countries.
