FOR SKILLED, EDUCATED WORKFORCE
One of the priorities
in the Economic
Chamber of
Macedonia’s 2016
agenda is to organize
activities that
promote the creation
of an educational
system that takes into
account businesses’
demands. Providing
skilled workforce
that is able to
meet businesses’
labor demand is
a key challenge
in Macedonia.
Vocational secondary
education has the potential to improve the school-to-work transition and to
give young people a new, fresh perspective to plan their career, and by that to
find their role in society.
The unemployment rates of countries that have implemented the dual
education system are always below 10 %. Statistical data show that nearly 70 %
of top managers across the world have been part of the dual education system
at some point.
Introducing the dual education system is a necessity, but also an opportunity
to bolster enterprises’ competitiveness and cut the unemployment rate. In this
regard, innovations and investments in vocational secondary education remain
crucial in building societies prepared for the future.
