The regulated riverbed of the river Vardar contributed for the protection of the central city area, however this of course
was affected by other factors, primarily that the waters of the three rivers Treska, Vardar, and Lepenec did not surge at the
same moment. The regulated riverbed of the river Vardar is dimensioned in built in order to be able to receive only 1,150 m3
