signed between Bosnia and Croatia.All
this can be realized, and of course Slov-
enia and Croatia are already members
of the Union. The real existence of a
European perspective is necessary also
for Macedonia. Of course, together with
our European friends – members of the
Union, we should enable unblocking of
the budget,but everyone should be ready
to take their own part of the responsi-
bility – Macedonia because it engaged in
the implementation of reforms, I par-
ticularly refer to the name issue. The
moment is very important. I met the
President of the Republic this morning,
as well as the other government mem-
bers. It takes courage, of course, it takes cause the paralysis of the institutions

Our commercial exchange shows that there are
opportunities to do business, although the Macedonian
market is considered a small one. It increased by 20% in
2013, in sectors where our position is strong at a global
level as well – agriculture and pharmaceuticals. The
economic diplomacy is a priority for France, especially
in Europe. All suggestions are welcome, the Embassy
is interested in all sectors. Simultaneously, we insist
on the regional initiatives, if our companies are not
present in Skopje, they are active in Belgrade and Sofia.
Macedonia gets enormous financial support from the
European funds, and a large part comes from France,
of course, through IPA instruments, however also with
all programmes of the communities. Since last year the
country can apply for COSME for small and medium-sized
enterprises, Erasmus+ for education and Horizon 2020 for
innovations. We consider that we can be more active in
the European partnerships, which in the long run would
guarantee stronger impact of our country. In this regard,
I refer to the university partners and the fight against
climate change, particularly this year when the priority for
Paris is the United Nations Conference COP21.

SITUATION IN MACEDONIA
The message that I came to convey to
the majority, as well as to the members
of the opposition, is clear. After all these
months of interrupted dialogue, judicial
disputes and disclosures through dif-
ferent media, the general interest must
prevail over the private interest.The
unity and the future of the country are
at stake. The first victims of the current
crisis are the Macedonian citizens, be-
