SHARING EXPERIENCES IN
INTRODUCING NEW SERVICES
The Economic INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Chamber of Macedonia
regularly updates the
range of services it
offers to companies
in the Republic of
Macedonia, adjusting
it to the requirements
and needs voiced by
businesses and to new
European and global
trends.
Hence, a while ago,
the Chamber launched
a cycle of informative
sessions for mediation
as an efficient
method of dispute
resolution, which will
continue throughout September. The goal is to introduce the Chamber’s new services for promoting
mediation in the Republic of Macedonia. In addition, the Managers and Entrepreneurs Club, which
was established in December last year, has grown to become a place where the emphasis is on small
and medium enterprises, which are provided with opportunities to network, learn new skills, and
develop. As such, the Club is a meeting point for all companies in Macedonia that benefit from the set
of services and business information it provides.
The Economic Chamber is currently working on a new service, which is related to facilitating
companies’ activities in terms of preparing documents and developing applications connected to
cooperation with domestic and foreign companies, as well as exports. The new service will make
this process more efficient, effective, and time- and cost-saving. To this end, representatives of the
Economic Chamber of Macedonia paid a working visit to Serbia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the meeting, experts from the two chambers shared information and experiences, and looked into
the possibility of preparing a joint platform to serve as a database for information, which would be
primarily used by companies, through the chambers of commerce in Western Balkans. The main
goal of the platform is to facilitate and strengthen ties between Macedonian companies on one side
and enterprises from other regions - Balkan countries and beyond - on the other side. The effort for
closer cooperation is supported by the chambers of commerce of Germany and Austria. The Economic
Chamber’s delegation visiting the Serbian Chamber of Commerce included Jelisaveta Georgieva PhD,
Executive Director of the ECM, Gjorgji Petrushev, member of the ECM’s Management Board, and Aneta
Trajkovska M.Econ., head of the education and new services sector of the ECM. Experts from the
sectors for IT, regional cooperation, education and new services of the Serbian chamber of commerce
delivered a presentation and discussed the planned activities with their Macedonian counterparts.
