Several large, specialized factories
could be built to serve the ammunition
manufacturing sector alone. It is in
Macedonia’s best interest to attract
foreign companies working in the field
of ammunition and military equipment.
They could increase both the level of
technology and staff working in this
sector. This is why we insist that relevant
bodies should provide subsidies and
attract foreign companies to invest in
domestic facilities.

MANUFACTURING, ALONGSIDE BUYING

Equipping the Army of the Republic
of Macedonia with new, modern
transportation devices and other
instruments has been a topic of discussion
for years now. However, we should not
only think about buying items, but also
consider the opportunity for producing the
needed equipment, or becoming part of
the production processes in large foreign
companies. The benefits of this will be
even more evident when the country
becomes a NATO member, as the principle
used by every NATO member state is to
purchase parts necessary for their armies or the military industry from NATO
member states. Of course, the easiest way is to simply buy what we need. Even in
this case, we will insist that the factory selling us equipment allow us to assemble
it in Macedonia.
