land of Mal Grad in Albania, “St.Achil-
les” in Greece and so on.
On your way back, you can choose
among a few options. The safest way
is to return along the same path to
the village of Malovishte where you
should visit three churches: “St.Pet-
ka”, “St.George” and “St.Athanasius”.
The most famous and largest among
them is the church “St.Petka”, which
was built on old foundations in 1856
and has a large and rich carved ico-
nostasis.
The second option would be to re-
turn by passing by “St.Ana”, monastery
located at an altitude of 1400 m.asl.,
and again get back to the village. “St.
Ana”, monastery has a rich architec-
tural and historical value, holy, heal-
ing water and lodgings where you can
stay.
The third option for the most en-
during hikers is to descend along the
other side of the mountain to the vil-
lage of Slivnitsa, where you can cool
in the Prespa Lake. You can choose
which option suits your spirit and
skills, or make a combination accord-
ing to your taste.
