Bucim mine celebrates 35th anniversary
and 10 years as part of Solvay

THE WAY

Over the past 10 years, Bucim
worked as part of Solvay. The
mine’s income reached 346
million euros, profits totaled
54 million euros, net wages
paid to employees amounted
to 37 million euros and a
concession fee of 7.5 million
euros was paid.

Bucim provides employment
to 700 workers. The average
net wage paid in 2014 was
440 euros, and the total
investments were over 51
million euros. The mine’s
total output is exported.
Considerable finances were
also placed in funds in the
municipality and the state - an
action that emphasizes the
significant role of this mine in
the economy of Radovis and
the region in general.
