Currently to write about
the exchange rate
regime or about the
balance of international
payments leastwise
seems like initiating a
discussion on the high
April temperatures in
the middle of a govern-
mental session. To speak
about the problems in
the Eurozone, and to
ignore the whistling and
the anger of the two
protesting groups, the
current feeling of un-
certainty, hopelessness
and lack of perspective,
would be to brutal
underestimation of the
intelligence of the Mace-
donian businessmen
and all other readers
of “Economy and Busi-
ness”. Currently politics
becomes the most im-
portant determinant of
every economic model
for Macedonia, and the
outcome of the political
crisis leaves a perma-
nent mark on its future.
