support service activities.

For a long period of time the businessmen in
the Republic of Macedonia have been pointing
out the problems they have in collecting their
claims. The chart shows the number of days
that legal entities in various sectors need in
order to collect their claims, where the sectors
are presented in the same way as in the previous
graph. The period needed for collection of
claims for three sectors increased and for three
other sectors decreased. Legal entities in the
construction sector had the largest problem
with collection of claims, and that is the sector
where the largest deterioration of the situation
is registered in 2014, compared to 2013. In
comparison, the problem with collection of
claims is the smallest for the firms in the trade
sector, transportation and accommodation
and food service activities, which on average
need 92 days to collect their claims.

The graph shows the legal entities at the
end of 2014, grouped by their size and their
problem with collection of claims. Micro legal
entities have by far the largest problem with
collection, and the problem has grown further
in 2014 compared to 2013. This is unfavorable,
because of the vulnerability of the micro legal
entities and their relatively weaker capacity to
operate in extended periods without collecting
the claims they have. In 2014, the problem with
the collection also deteriorated for the middle
sized legal entities, while for the others the
situation is unchanged relative to 2013.
