the royal palace and the entire area. It
was here that the archaeologists dis-
covered the bronze shields with the
sixteen-ray sun that belonged to a vet-
eran in the guard of the king Deme-
trius. Today, they are exhibited in the
Archaeological Museum of Macedonia.
Unlike Stibera, which is located next to
the road, visiting Visoka requires a sol-
id climb, which of course requires time
and good planning.

At least once a year the Prilep moun-
taineering associations organize a hike
to the peak Visoka and a visit to the
royal tomb, so for those who would
not go on their own or who think they
might miss something from this mysti-
cal site it is best to follow the planned
tours and join the group hikes. What is
missing is more extensive information
about the sites available to visitors. But
sometimes it is not necessary to have
all the information at hand, it is also
nice to develop the imagination about
what was a world that disappeared mil-
lennia ago like, by yourself.
