What is the ranking
of the countries

according to the latest
global peace index?

Once a year, for the past ten years, the Ten best-ranked country
Institute of Economy and Peace publishes (ranking on the list)
the global peace index. This institute is an
independent and non-profit think tank. With Source: Global peace index, 2016
the publication of the index, the Institute ranks Ranking of the countries from the region
163 independent countries and territories
according to the peace condition. According
to the Report from 2016, in the world there
was slightly less peace than the previous year
whereby the greatest deteriorating condition
of peace were in the Middle East and in
North Africa. The expenses of violence are in
an amount of 13% of the world GDP or 13.6
trillion American dollars. The graph represents
the best ranked countries in terms of peace,
whereby Island is on the top.

This graph displays the ranking of some of the
countries from the region. According to this
methodology, unfortunately, the Republic of
Macedonia has worse ranking than the other
countries, excluding Turkey. Apart from Slovenia,
which is on the tenth position of the first graph,
the best ranking in our region belongs to Croatia.
Globally, according to this index, the countries
with the worst ranking include Yemen, Somalia,
Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Syria is positioned
last.
